Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies. Understanding this and surrendering to a higher power requires a lot of humility. In this world, there are so many things outside our control. Whatever it is that you believe in, learn to pray. Some call it God, some say Universal or cosmic energy, yet others call it spirit. A few minutes of silent meditation everyday has numerous benefits. It helps you understand your deepest desires. There are different forms and types of meditation. All these activities will help your experience the joy of giving. Participate in community service initiatives. Do nice things for strangers whom you will never meet again. When your friends or family need your help, be there for them. Help people without expecting anything in return. The joy of giving was, is and will always be more than the joy of receiving. So identify the ones who create toxic patterns in your life. This affects your other relationships too. Avoid toxic peopleĭoes spending time with a person make your feel drained ? Do yourself a favour and distance yourself from that person. You will be surprised by the warm reciprocation that you receive. Plan activities and spend quality time with your loved ones. Start by strengthening your relationships. Take control of your own emotional health. So it is important to not leave things to chance. The ones who are emotionally secure have been knowingly or unknowingly putting efforts towards this. When we start to pay attention to our personal bank accounts and how much is in (or not in) them, we can make the necessary changes, and deposits, to be who we want to be and do what we want to do.We cannot be emotionally healthy by coincidence. Some ways to make more deposits in our personal bank accounts is to keep promises to ourselves, help others around us, forgive ourselves, be honest, find ways to renew and refresh ourselves, and work on our talents and use them to help others. If our personal bank account is low, WE, each of us, have the power to change that through daily small, determined, and humble decisions. Some symptoms of a healthy personal bank account: You stand up for yourself and resist peer pressure you’re not terribly concerned with being popular you see life in a positive way you trust yourself you set and work toward goals you are happy when others succeed.

Some symptoms of a low personal bank account: You cave in to peer pressure easily you struggle with feelings of worthlessness and inferiority you’re overly concerned with what others think of you you act arrogant to hide your insecurities you self-destruct by getting into drugs, pornography, vandalism or gangs you get jealous easily. He asks: “How is your personal bank account? How much trust and confidence do you have in yourself? Are you loaded or bankrupt?” Just like at a regular bank, you can make deposits in and take withdrawals out of your personal bank account by the things you “think, say, and do.” Sean Covey teaches how we feel about ourselves is like a bank account, a personal bank account.
